Yahoo 300 Parody
This is a parody based on the 300 movie twisted to reflect Microsoft’s hostile take over bid for Yahoo.
We did not do voice-over, so you will need to read the captions (except for one part, guess which
). As the disclaimer at the beginning says, this clip is intended for entertainment value only, it does not necessarily reflect our personal views and certainly does not reflect Yahoo!’s official views in any way, shape, or form. The idea for the clip is mine, as in Amr Awadallah the person and not Amr whom works for Yahoo! Inc.
You can see the video on YouTube as embedded below (I posted this on YouTube instead of Yahoo! Video to further emphasize that this has nothing to do with Yahoo! Inc):
If the youtube player does not work for you, you can download the original wmv video clip from:
http://www.awadallah.com/Yahoo300.wmv
Enjoy,
– amr
PS: The 300 movie is awesome, so go rent or buy it (It is astonishing that most of this movie was actually shot in a studio).

Can I get a refund of those wasted minutes of my life?
Comment by me — March 7, 2008 @ 6:10 amHilarious! A voice-over version would be so great. Do you still have the movie without the subtitles? Maybe someone (not me) would have time to do the voice-overs? Or even better, perhaps we could ask Terry Semel if he has Hollywood contacts that could get us a version without any voice, or even let Hollywood stars do the voice-overs.
He has his drive named for him, he owes us. Anyway, thanks for this, it’s really funny.
Disclaimer: this comment does not reflect my view nor Yahoo!’s. As a matter of fact, I’m a vampire and I don’t make any reflect.

Comment by overklokan — March 8, 2008 @ 10:42 amWhat on earth possessed you to use yellow text on a bright pictured video? Pretty hard to laugh at something that’s supposed to be funny when I’m struggling to read what’s on the screen….
Comment by Az — March 10, 2008 @ 3:36 pmNicely done. But is this why you don’t have time to meet with me during the day?
Comment by df — March 17, 2008 @ 12:24 amwow, talk about being self-delusional…..

Comment by nuno — April 13, 2008 @ 1:07 pmYahoo has a reputation to consider?? What reputation? A reputation of a has been?
Comment by ninjamike — April 13, 2008 @ 4:49 pmI like what you’ve done here, but the fact that the movie is edited with Windows Movie Maker negates the video’s message! Btw, I heard someone dug a bottomless pit on the Sunnyvale campus for Ballmer’s next visit.
